Umrah Mohammed

Hi, my name is Umrah Mohammed, and I am the co-founder of Project Bellatrix, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting women affected by domestic abuse. My passion for helping others drives me to advocate for victims, raise awareness, and lead fundraising efforts to ensure these women have access to the resources they need to rebuild their lives. Project Bellatrix reflects my commitment to making a positive and meaningful impact in my community.

In addition to my work with Project Bellatrix, I co-manage a childcare business with my cousin, where we provide reliable care for children ages 2 and up. Many families in our community depend on us, and being able to support them by offering trustworthy and safe childcare is something I take great pride in. It’s more than just a business—it’s a way to give back and strengthen the ties within our community.

I also assist my aunt with her fashion business in a third-world country, helping her with design ideas and communicating with English-speaking customers. This allows me to support my family while contributing to her business's success in a meaningful way.

Alongside these efforts, I am passionate about engineering, drawn to the challenge of design and problem-solving. I aspire to use my skills as an engineer to create innovative solutions that leave a lasting, progressive impact on society. Whether through my work in Project Bellatrix, my childcare business, or my future in engineering, my goal is always to contribute positively and make a difference in the lives of others.
